Principal's Message

Welcome To East Washington Academy!

Welcome to the home of the Wildcats!  We serve approximately 415 students K-5. Our building is very student-centered, as we value student engagement and educating the whole child. We have a very broad range of educational programs, with three Special Education rooms, the district's Extended Learning Program (ELP) and General Education students.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Spring weather! Our students are working very hard as they prepare for the end of the school year. ISTEP went very well for our 3rd-5th graders, and our K-2 students are currently completing their end of the year testing. As temperatures become warmer, please be sure your child is dressed appropriately. Flip flops and spaghetti strap shirts are not allowed at school. Attendance is crucial for student success. Please notify the office if your child is unable to attend school. If you are looking for a way to get involved in your child’s education, the PTO is always looking for volunteers. PTO meetings are the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Child care is usually provided for school age children. As always, feel free to stop by the school office or contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you for being a part of your child’s education!
Mr. Jason Rees
